Duo-TwangTania Gosselin and Christopher Dunn are two soulful lyricists who share a passion for writing songs about love, loss, hard lessons and redemption. Influenced by country, blues, folk and Latin styles, their sound is hard to pin down, but Gosselin’s clear honest vocal style and Dunn’s intricate guitar work are hard to forget, as are the heartfelt emotional performances of their original songs.

Though Gosselin is fairly new to the stage as an adult, she has been singing since childhood, having performed in choirs and solo singing competitions in grade school and a couple of garage bands in high school. She began playing guitar and writing songs in 1999 and, since then, has performed at the Trout Forest Music Festival in Ear Falls, Ontario, the Sioux Mountain Music Festival in Sioux Lookout, Ontario, Canada Day Celebrations and Superior Country Festival in Dryden, Ontario, as well as a number of coffee houses and fund-raisers.

Dunn brings a wealth of stage and studio experience to the duo. His long list of credits includes playing with The Jericho Hill Band, Thom Moon, Jeff Bradshaw, Nathan Tinkham (Great Western Orchestra and Undertakin’ Daddies), Floyd Sneed, and Killer Tumbleweeds. As a member of Killer Tumbleweeds, Dunn opened for Kris Kristopherson, David Lindley, Leon Russell, Long John Baldry, Spirit of the West, Matt Minglewood, Eric Burden, Doug & The Slugs, and Los Lobos. Also as a Killer Tumbleweed, he was showcased at the South By Southwest music conference in Austin, Texas, received radio air play, and charted in Europe. Dunn has been a studio guitarist for The Living Room Studio in Calgary, Alberta and performed live for television and radio in Calgary, Edmonton, Medicine Hat and Red Deer. He has even enjoyed an appearance on the big screen, performing in the movie Cool Runnings as part of the band in ‘the bar scene’. (He’s the guy on the left.)

Instrumentally, Gosselin’s steady acoustic rhythm guitar provides a strong backbone for the at times playful, at times dark, at times seductive, always impeccable and sweetly melodic dance of Dunn’s lead guitar. Vocally, Gosselin and Dunn compliment each other and blend like they were made for each other.
